CraveOnline caught up with Spider-Man Director Sam Raimi at Comic-Con last week, where the filmmaker has confirmed that he's no longer attached to the film that is based on Blizzard's hugely multiplayer online role-playing game, due to his work on Oz: The Great and Powerful. Raimi is set to become the World of Warcraft film director.

"Actually they're not hiring me to direct World of Warcraft anymore, because when I took the Oz job , they had change to another director." Raimi said. "They were required to make it."

The company did not make any mention of the possibility of a replacement for Raimi as director of the World of Warcraft film director. At press time, Blizzard has not responded to P2Pah's request for comments.
